feelslikesundae You’re so creative! I would be interested to know what part of the country/province they came from!

feelslikesundae @mtreeshopper I’m in Smithers! Lots of tree planters around here. It’s awesome you’ve got a side gig. I feel like it’s similar to when I bought my icebreaker merino underlayer it gave me a code to see what part of New Zealand the wool came from which i thought was pretty fun. Anyway, I like your product a lot, great idea! ♥️

mtreeshopper @pruheart hey, another BC resident! I find these all over the province, I used to have the best luck getting them around fort st.james, but I see them out here on the coast too. Thanks so much for the interest! Take care

kstarfaerie What a gorgeous idea!!🧡 I love that butterflies are finally coming back to BC. They all died in the mid 90s when the gov. Crop sprayed to kill an invasive moth species. I remember walking down my street and there would be a dead butterfly every ten feet! 😢

mtreeshopper @kstarfaerie huh, I didn't know about that. Nice to see a population returning though!

kstarfaerie @mtreeshopper exactly! I was only in kindergarten, but I remember because they cancelled school and everyone had to stay inside for 3 or 4 days kinda like now, only not at all! 🤣

kellseven @kstarfaerie I remember that too! Although I was 47 at the time. Heheh jk, grade 2 I believe. They wouldn't even let us open the windows on the school bus.

wheresagegrows hey, these are beautiful! I'm wondering what kind of metal do you use in the hook? thanks!

divineclosetluv I am so happy you checked my closet n it gave me a chance to check out yours too. This item is artistic n made with very loving intention. It is like you are extending their beauty to people who also love butterflies. I am a butterfly lover n have raised so many different species in the past few years. I also have raised different types of giant silk moths. If you ever want other butterfly wings for your work, I would be happy to send some to you. Let me know I would be happy to help 🦋

mtreeshopper @divineclosetluv oh wow! I love when people really respond to these, I’ve always thought it was one of my more clever ideas. If you want to make a listing for wings I would for sure purchase it. Or if you want to try this process for yourself, the secret is putting the wings through a laminator. It’s super simple, nothing fancy, just places them carefully in the plastic sleeve and run them through!

mtreeshopper @divineclosetluv you don’t even have to buy a laminator, I used to do it at Staples

divineclosetluv @mtreeshopper you are such a wonderful person to talk to, I had this same idea for years but never carried it out. So now you are like my inner self, who actually turned ideas into real life. Thanks for waking up that dream and gave me the instructions on how to make them. I had the idea to use epoxy but found that it might be too much cost. I will look for the butterfly I preserved. I am also on Instagram if you need more info 😇 info is under “about” on Poshmark here
