Helen's Dreamy Party Dress (Vintage Dress From the 70's?)

This is by far one of the best finds I have ever come across. I believe this is probably from the era of the 70s and I can just imagine it belonged to some girl who thought it was the most beautiful and elegant party frock she owned. She probably felt like the butterfly queen in it. It is comprised of layer upon layer of gauzy semi sheer and sheer fabric in a darling shade of peony pink. Satin accents grace the waist, cuffs, buttons, and neckline giving them a little shimmer. A silver and peach peacock feather appliqué made up of sequins and beads adorns the waist band. Gathers and pleats combined with the soft folds of this fairy fabric all work together to make this dress a masterpiece a woman would have been proud to call hers. The sleeves are sheer, a long slit opens peekaboo fashion in the back from the neck to the top of the waistband. Covered buttons. Substantial shoulder pads but these can always be removed if they aren't your look There are some pulls throughout the fabric but truly, this dress is still a masterpiece. No fabric tag but I'd guess polyester. Under arm to under arm 22 1/2" Waist 15 1/2" Shoulder to shoulder 18" Sleeve length 24" Length 49" Hips approx 29"
