sheraszyiatribe I love how organized your closet is! How do you keep it that way when you share items, have flash sells, and share in parties and such? I'm still sort of new to selling so I share a lot from my closet as well as others bc I'm trying to build followers bc I need to get rid of some stuff so I can buy some stuff from closets like yours! 😊

takeasecond @sheraalbright Sorry meant to send this sooner: Aww lol thank you! I'm pretty new too, but I'm happy to share my ways :) The SHORT answer to your questions: I keep my closet clean by using sections to organize my items. To share your listings and also keep your sections organized, I recommend using Poshmark on a laptop/desktop instead of your cell phone because hitting the share button is much faster and the page doesn't refresh with each item.

takeasecond @sheraalbright I recommend sharing your entire closet at least twice a day, (I usually share in the morning and at night), and of course share items that match the daily parties. Sharing is time consuming so share as much as you can, but don't kill yourself to do it...

takeasecond @sheraalbright When you share, you'll notice people will share or like your items (yay!). Thank them by sharing a few of the items in their closet. Many times they will actually return to your store to share even more items to show their appreciation :D It's a bit of work to share, but it really pays off... each time you share, your item go back to the top of peoples feed. You are pretty much advertising your items.

takeasecond The LONG answer: ::How to make an organized closet:: I set my store up by sections. Some people categorize by sizing, brand, etc, but you should do whatever makes sense for your closet. I find that having this type of structure encourages people to scroll through the entire closet. To make this setup- 1) make a list of all the sections needed, 2) make a listing for each section (make sure to include a "Sold" section, it tells people they can stop scrolling),...

takeasecond ... 3) organize each item under the designated section listing. *HINT* DO TRY to keep all items within their designated section, DON'T TRY to keep all of your sections in an organized order. It will just be messed up when the next category/brand restricted party comes along.

takeasecond *HINT* If you have a "Sold" listing and you happen to have sold something since the last time you organized your closet, the "Sold" listing should ALWAYS be the FIRST listing you edit/share. This way it will be left on top of all your sold listings when you are done organizing.

takeasecond *HINT* Items you are trying to feature should be at the top of your closet as they will be the first thing the customer sees. As you know, each time you create, edit or share a listing, the listing goes back up top. So pick things you want at the bottom of your closet first.

takeasecond *HINT* A great way to showcase your new / featured / must have items, is to have a "Just In" section. It also comes in handy when you don't have time to organize things into their own categories. Make sure to keep this somewhere up top. *HINT* Try to view your closet as an incoming customer. Does the items look appealing? Does the overall closet look clean? Is it easy to find what you are looking for?

takeasecond ::Use your PHONE and your COMPUTER:: For quick updates I use my phone and for major reorganization and daily shares, I use my laptop. The laptop is quicker because it doesn't refresh the page every time I share an item. Please be aware this also means you need to keep track of the items you share to make sure you got them all (the browser refresh button helps to see what you have done so far).
Oct 06Reply
takeasecond
takeasecond *HINT* Don't forget to share the "section" listing for each section (share it last to have it at the top of the section).

takeasecond ::Let em see your face!:: Having a "Meet the Posher" with your photo is a great way to introduce yourself to people. It creates a sense of trust when people can see your face. People like being able to relate and are attracted to a great personality, so put in a little info about yourself, your likes, your fave brands, hobbies, etc.

sheraszyiatribe
sheraszyiatribe @takeasecond THANK YOU! I have almost killed myself sharing, etc, but it can pay off. I always try to share others as they share mine. I miss some of the parties due to work so I try to list my items again in the mornings for those parties if I know they fit the party theme. I have a computer and have found that sharing there can be confusing because it doesn't refresh. I appreciate your time and keep up the awesome work. When you share your closet do u do it to IG or FB?
Oct 07Reply
takeasecond
takeasecond @sheraalbright Lol yes it can pay off :) It sounds like you are doing a great job already! I agree that the laptop sharing can be very confusing, but I still think it beats the never-ending scrolling and page refreshes :) Again, w/e works! Sorry to ask, what is IG? I do share occasional things to FB, but not all the time, it would take over my entire wall :) Do you share to places other than PM?
Oct 08Reply
sheraszyiatribe
sheraszyiatribe @takeasecond IG is Instagram. I only use Poshmark but there is a way to share your entire closet using the top right button on the phone app. I just occasionally share there. It gives the direct link to my PM. I also added my Poshmark link to my Instagram page. 😀 I hope that helps!
