Nana Sue is a retired nurse & has almost 50 years of extensive sewing experience.
She began sewing in high school- making her own clothes so she could wear all the newest styles!
Since then she's enjoyed sewing gifts for family & friends, explored embroidery, crochet & quilting, created her daughter's beautiful wedding gown & often makes her own clothing patterns.
She loves new adventures so is now making face covering fabric masks!

I ask because a nurse in Texas making masks has used furnace filter in the filter pocket and when tested offered greater protection than N95 . I am retired nurse also and am hoping to try the filter.

Hi There, Looks like you are doing a great job. I am also making masks for my family and friends, and it has taken about 25 until I found a pattern I like . . . the size issue still trips me up. The biggest shock was not even recognizing my sewing machine, and having to learn how to use it! I miss my original. I wish you much success. God Bless and Stay Safe
