@crazyposh we named him Brian, after my husband's dad :) He's 1.5 like your little guy (don't know how long ago your post was) and he's certainly pushing and testing boundaries already - I'm exhausted by the end of the day! I think moms who have 2+ toddlers like you or moms who have a newborn and a toddler are supermoms!

Hi Maria :) That was a sweet compliment (having style all figured out) but speaking for myself, I've hardly got it all figured out! I stick with my "safe" zone (translation = Anthropologie...I swear I could throw a dart in that store and I would fall in love with whatever it landed on). I really need to try to branch out! @dingberts she was asking $35 and it had been 38 minutes since you'd been tagged and I knew it was going to disappear. I offered $20 and she immediately accepted. I'm pretty sure a 0 in this dress wouldn't fit me ( I've gained a bit of weight) so it's for you...it was all along ☺️

@dingberts MARIA!!!!!! The dress came today. It looks new and it should fit you if not slightly big. My only qualm (I try everything on to find flaws) is that it's difficult to raise your arms while wearing as the sleeves are a little restricting...and I couldn't button the sleeves but my arms have gotten a little chunky but I'm sure you'll be fine👍🏼😃

@dingberts I love to make my son wait and guess. He believed in Santa until he was in 7th grade!!! I would hardly sleep at all waiting for the perfect opportunity for "Santa" to bring presents. I even bought separate wrapping paper and would use a rubber stamp to mark santa's presents.

@dingberts ...And no you're not my worst nightmare! I'm horrible when I'm on the receiving end. Every year when I was a kid I'd snoop until I found my presents. I even went as far as to carefully, partially unwrap things to see what was under the paper. I was my own nightmare! lol 😂

@dingberts You're so funny! I don't consider that sheltered. It just means your parents did a great job at keeping the Christmas magic alive...and believe me it is not easy when other kids are trying to ruin it. I still make him wait. He didn't catch me he was just finally convinced by all around him that parents are Santa clause and the tooth fairy. And his own common sense and rationale solidified the truth in his eyes. It was so important to me to keep that magic going...

@pjvarela I feel like it's getting harder to keep that Xmas magic going for so long with how much kids know nowadays. I hope no one ruins it for my son too early -- 5 is definely way too young!!! Hahaha your poor mom. We would write to Santa & ask him for a response. My dad would was a leftie & would write back right handed so we could never tell. My siblings & I would be so amazed.

@dingberts I love to bake and I won't touch a raw bird! Lol. I can eat meat as long as I don't deal with it in its whole form. I make some traditional things at Christmas time. I make biscochitos. They're kind of like a sugar cookie with anis and sugar/cinnamon on the outside. And I make Tamales which I would eat all year if they weren't so much work to make. I'll be making tamales tomorrow 😋

@pjvarela I had to google biscochitos -- they look so good!!!! It's so cool it's your state cookie! Do you wrap the tamales in banana leaves? I've never had an actual tamale not ordered from a restaurant. What's the hardest part about making it? Does it need constant attention? What kind do you like to make? I'm jealous!

@dingberts Haha I didn't know it was the state cookie! Makes sense though since New Mexico originated from the Spanish settlers. The tamales are wrapped in corn husks. Making them is such a long process from making and shredding the pork, grinding and adding chili pods then making the corn dough (masa harina), stuffing, wrapping, tying the corn husks, then steaming them. We usually make a batch of 4-6 dozen so it takes all day....but it is so worth it!!!
