Hi! I'm Steph. I'm a busy chic living in Houston. I love all things style & am constantly exploring for what's next in fashion. As far as my personal aesthetic, I'm a neutral minimalist. Also, since I travel frequently I like unfussy, classic pieces that I can mix & go. I would suggest Anejo (upscale Mexican and lots of great Tequila), Maggianos (it's a chain but they've got a great happy hour and great food), North (lighter Italian), Houston's (also called Hillstone-great steak and awesome huge fried shrimp but it's a classy place at the same time). There's also a restaurant called Peli Peli -it's South African food. Despite what it sounds like it's not crazy of cuisine.

closetelevation @nicole_white If you can get out of the Galleria my favorite restaurant in town is Reef (best and freshest seafood in town and make sure they bring you the rolls with the jalapeño jelly-sooo good). I love our local restaurants... There are so many great ones here! ❤️

closetelevation @schin aside from being a great place for everything from fast fashion to luxury fashion there are a ton of great resale shops and thrift stores. The Goodwill in River Oaks is great as well as the one on Braeswood. My favorite has to be Family Thirft Outlet. It's the holy grail of thrift.

closetelevation @schin the entire store changes from week to week and their prices start at $2 and go down each day until everything's .25. On $2 days you can find anything. It's an overwhelming place the first time but it's well worth the hunt (and the cost to dry clean your new garments)

I have no studio lights, no fancy set up - just a white background in a spare bedroom. This app lets me adjust the photo to look as close to how the item looks in person. closetelevation @empwr_elegence Hi there! I have no fancy light set up. I use to bright light bulbs in my ceiling fan light. I took the cover off of the light to make it brighter. Then I just shoot against a white wall. What makes the biggest difference is a free app I use. It’s called StoreCamera. I can adjust the exposure manually and the temperature (to take out the yellow tone that happens a lot.)

closetelevation @empwr_elegence You can adjust a lot of different things - it’s way better than the editor on the iPhone. That app really helped. It’s not perfect- it takes a little bit to fool around with and figure out. It also freezes sometimes. But, it’s still better than anything else I’ve used.

closetelevation @alleysattic I don’t mind at all! It’s called Store Camera. I use it on the iphone- but they might have an android app, too. It takes a little bit of time to get used to but once you do it’s a valuable tool.

closetelevation @lisapfoust hi there! Thank you for the compliment on my photos. ❤️ I don’t use anything special. All I use is really bright led daylight temperature light bulbs in my “shooting room” along with a lamp without the shade on placed 4 ft away- on a chair.

closetelevation @lisapfoust Mostly I use the exposure setting on my iPhone to lighten the photo. Not brightness- exposure. Next I use the “cast” setting to take the yellow out of the photo. I try to maximize what I already have to improve my hobby business. It’s part of my mantra of “bloom where you grow”

closetelevation @tamlovesfashion here in Houston we collectively complained that winter would never end. Then, in the blink of an eye we went from a temp of 40-50 to swamp monster weather. It’s so sticky and muggy. We’re stuck in a pattern of sunny af, rainy, and sunny AND rainy af. I guess there’s always hurricane season look forward to. I’d take rainy Oregon over this. Especially Cannon Beach, Manzanita or around Cape Perpetua
