Horsehair Pottery Buffalo Vase

Gorgeous Horsehair Pottery which has been carved and painted with striking colors making a Buffalo it's Focal Point. Horse hair is used when firing this clay pot. The hair is placed on the stoneware in the kiln when the pot is hot. The hair sizzles and scorches the surface of the pottery which creates black lines in irregular shapes. No two pieces are exactly alike. Measures: 6"ʺW × 5.5"ʺH 2 " wide opening Condition: Pre-owned in Very Good Condition. Pottery has some scratches at the base which do not detract from its overall fantastic condition. Please also refer to photos as they form part of the description.
