Hutschenreuther, Selb Bavaria Cookie Jar-Tea Canister, Art Deco

Designed by Hochschule-trained Fritz Klee, this beautiful and undamaged 1920's era lidded jar is usually found in gold and white, but this one is in the rare cobalt blue with heavy gold trim and mythical animal friezes on the base. Triple-marked on the base with Hutschenreuther lion, Abteilung fur Kunst (Art Department) and Klee's signature indicating he is head of the art dept. Very rare, very lovely. A nice collector's addition.
