IMPERIAL FRUIT INTAGLIO PLATTER

This 1960’s vintage glass platter from Imperial Glass has an impressive frosted intaglio fruit design in the center and a bold medallion design surrounding it along the outer edge. Intaglio designs are carved or moulded into the back of the glass rather than the front. They easily provide a lot of visual punch, and the fruit intaglio was a popular motif in Imperial’s patterns from the 1940’s onward. The platter is approximately 11 inches in diameter, and is in excellent condition, free from cracks, chips, scratches, clouding, or any other damage or defect. Handsome!
