Imperial Jingdezhen Porcelain ‘Beauties of the Red Mansion’

Limited edition plate (1986) from China National Arts & Crafts and master artisan Zhao Huimin. Based on the classic 18th century romance novel ‘A Dream of Red Mansions’ or Hung Lou Meng. This is Yuan-Chun (Jia Yuanchun) second in the series. She is the eldest sister, originally a lady-in-waiting who becomes an Imperial Consort due to her virtue and learning. The plate is in excellent condition. Plate measures 8.5” across. Comes in box. The plate materials used are decorative and not suitable for serving food.
