@thevintagediva I just added that last picture. It is the different lots I bought from her estate. I would say about 70% I sold. I had to recoup some of the cost since I purchased over 120 bangles and not a spacer in there.

@thevintagediva oh yeah I know it is small!! I knew that a lot about her items and the history. I also know they sold a few other dealers too and I assume you do too. I no longer sell out of store, just online on the side. The bakelite market is not what it used to be and they're not going for that much. I actually make jewelry but mainly for necklaces that I carved from vintage Bakelite only. I haven't done that in about five years.

I am looking for more novelty print types like ship, fish, hawaiian motif. I have plenty of the normal beaded cardigans that I would only be interested if they are unique. I also have some cashmere Daltons pullovers but would be willing if I do not have the colors. Being in the Bay Area it is perfect for the lightweight sweaters. Thanks!

@dactup actually it is lucite. I would say about 95% of the old plastic purses are lucite or similar and very rarely ever Bakelite. I have a few Dorset Rex purses and all have been lucite. Yours is very nice. They sold mainly in department stores like Macy's.

I have 2 beautiful vintage bracelets and I doubt know what they're made of but they're big and they make the most charming sound when they clack together not like new stuff does so they're made of something interesting, how do I tell what they are any suggestions? I tried running them under warm water but my nose sucks at picking up smells

@twinkieheart Do they have seams or pour marks on the inside? If so then they are more likely plastic or lucite. What do they look like? Whatever you do please do not test with fire/matches. I find that testing with 409 or scrubbing bubbles also work. If you put a little on a qtip and rub the inside of the bangle it can give you results that way. Maybe post a pict in your "outerwear" closet marker? Then maybe delete the pict later?

@dimestorebetty no seams or marks at all, they are a clear-ish color and each has a type of cloth like material that was glazed into the inside I doubt know how to describe it, I'll post pics later and tag you if that's ok? What do I look for if I rub it with 409?

@twinkieheart with scrubbing bubble and 409 you are looking for a yellow tint on the qtip after you rub the bangle. If it is glazed into something then it is most likely lucite, which will not turn the qtip yellow.
