In Times Like These by Nellie L. McClung (1917)

This book was written about the time of World War I. Nellie McClung was a Canadian writer, politician and social activist. She was involved in the suffragette movement and was instrumental in the Supreme Court case in which women were declared "persons." This copy of the book was published in 1917. It is in good condition with normal wear on the cover. The gold printing on the front is vibrant. There is an inscription inside the cover: "February 7, 1955. Bought at 2nd hand store on Sargent Ave. Lucy Cook." There is a Sargent Ave in Winnipeg.
