Purchased in 1987 while living in Indonesia. The town had a batik & tailoring quarter where you could find locally made goods l.
Best is to look at pictures to complete description.
Artisan made: the tailoring is quality but 1 issue was the choice of fabric 4 the trim: it is different from the rest of the garment and has a tendency to fray. I never washed it myself as it was done by an aide while in Indonesia. Back in Canada, I had it dry cleaned and stored during all those years as a memento. You can wash it by hand & separately in cold water, preferably with addition of an anti-color-running product.
Four seasons wear ‘cause of its colours & style: to keep warm in winter, you can wear a fine wool layer under it for ex.
Colours vary with light. Hard to catch the real hue on camera. Many trendy colours are present: burgundy, mustard yellow, burn orange and red, and maroon.
Sold as a mix of raw silk & pure cotton without any label to support. It could well be as it looks & feels like it when you wear it (very comfy under the tropical sun).
No size, purchased when size 12 and pregnant: plenty of space for your little belly. It would say it is one size fits all w/ the major restriction being the waist area.
Measurements in inches when flat & approximate:
Shoulders & pit to pit: irrelevant ‘cause of butterfly-like cut
Lower hem (waist area): 19
Length: 26.5
Condition: fraying of the trim around the collar, also under a flap at the front (mended). Priced accordingly.
