Italian Horse with Cart Figurine

From my Mother's horse figurine collection. vintage Italian Horse with Cart. Wheels move smoothly. Vintage Sicilian folk art cart made out of wood & paper, this classic Italian souvenir horse drawn carriage has a driver & passengers. The colorful cart has intricate designs as well as several scenes. Carrettino Siciliano were once a common site throughout Sicily. Introduced to the island by the Greeks, the carts have a long history in Sicilian culture. This colorful cart was purchased in Sicily in the 1950's-1960s by our Mother with her Parents.
