J. Knowles Hare Signed Etching "Sympathy" Boy and Dog Irish Setter or Retriever

Framed Etched Lithograph Print signed by the artist J Knowles Hare. Titled Sympathy. Features small boy and his dog in a moment of tenderness. J Knowles Hare 1884 -1947. Known for etchings and magazine illustration, 'Sympathy' is one of his most famous drawings. I think this was done in 1918. This etching was done in dry point pen and this print is from the original and signed by the artist. Wonderful example of Americana art. Condition is very good. Framed. Under Glass. Etching is clean, bright and free of any marks, stains, rips or damage. The paper backing that was once on the back of the etching is gone but the nails, frame and backing are all intact. Frame colour is black. The etching is remarkably clear and well saturated in its colouring. With frame, etching measures 19"L x 16.5" W
