J Press navy cableknit wool cap/toque, made in the UK, one size

You know it's preppy if it's from J Press, the original temple of prep. I bought this in their New York City store. It's a thick cable knit, 100% British wool from the United Kingdom. The knit is fairly loose so it has a natural stretch and will fit just about any size head. It's unlined but very warm. Wear it all winter with your wool duffel coat and LL Bean boots. I'm going to list it for men, but it's a truly unisex cap. These are sometimes also called toques, watch caps, or beanies. British wool has some of the lanolin from the sheep left in it to make the garment more durable and water resistant. You may notice the cap has a slight smell from the lanolin, which is normal for lanolin-rich knit wool garments. It's quite light, but vaguely sheepy, so I wanted you to be aware. You can wash it to remove the lanolin and it will smell Downy-fresh, but you'll lose the natural protection of the lanolin which is highly valued in the damper, colder parts of the British Isles.
