Karl Lagerfeld worked at the Couture House Of Jean Patou in France from 1957 to 1963. This coat was made 1959-1961. He was big talent even back then and recieved praise & recognition for his coat sketching abilities. Charismatic, Sophisticated and definitely old world charm appeal with a modern new age contemporary design. Slight fading at the back of the leather buttons have occurred due to storage. 100% wool and large leather panel inserts. Gold, metal & leather buttons down the front (with one extra inside the coat). Shiny fabric lining. Coat has impressive, customized hand-sewn touches and a reglan sleeve.
