Karl Lagerfeld was the head designer for Jean Patou Couture House in France 1957, 1963. This coat was made in 1959-1961. Hugely acceptable and uniquely talented even way, way back then. Lagerfeld recieved much praise & recognition for his coat designing. Casual, charismatic and sophisticated with an old world charming appeal. A modern new age contemporary design that has withstood the test of time. 100% wool and large 100% leather panel inserts. Gold, metal and leather buttons down the front (extra button at the interior). A shiny, light material fabric lining.
