They are a soft black leather with 2 buckles-1 is firmly across the vamp (adjustable). The other strap is very long (38")and can be wrapped several times around ankle and secured with an adjustable buckle. The shaft is 8", the top 4" is split, which allows for a slouchy boho look...it is wrapped shut with the strap. Size 39, about an 8.5, measures 10" via insole, 4" wide and has a 3.25" heel. They are in excellent pre-owned condition as shown...

odaatcathygmail @bellamehta Hi, no they are the same height-a bit over 3". I just checked. It looks that way because one of the boots is closer to the camera. I'm not the greatest photographer...lol
