Pewter JJ Christmas pin. Gift, received 2015 - never worn. 2 3/4" high, 3 1/4" wide. Marked. Vintage 90's (?) JJ Jonette Jewelry Company of Providence, Rhode Island, began as The Providence Jewelry Company somewhere between 1935 and 1943. This company is widely known for marketing novelty jewelry, especially brooches. The JJ mark was first used around 1970. Designer Alan Weimer was responsible for some of this company’s most clever designs during the 1980s and ‘90s. This business remained family-owned until they ceased operation in 2006.
