J.R.R. Tolkien Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle Earth 1st American Edition

This is "Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle Earth" by J.R.R. Tolkien, edited by his son Christopher Tolkien. This is the 1st American Edition, 1st printing, published by Houghton Mifflin in 1980. It has green cloth covered boards with green and silver foil embossed decoration on the cover and decoration and lettering on the spine. It contains notes, appendices and an Index. There is a large fold out map tipped in to the back of the book. The dust jacket is present. It is in very good condition. There is crushing to the spine ends with lightly bumped corners. An inscription inside the front cover has been whited out while the rest of the pages are unmarked. The binding is tight and sound. The dustjacket has wear, bleaching and a small tear at the top edge. Please see all the photos. A great addition to anyone's Tolkien collection.
