Gorgeous and warm coat, 100% wool with nylon lining and fur trim (I think it’s fox?). Very well-made. A little wrinkled from storage. Good vintage condition, hard to find these without flaws these days, would be easy and quick to restore to great condition if you know how to use a needle and thread (see photos and description below). A few minor flaws: - one spot on the fur has come loose and needs to be tacked down, but the rest is still firmly attached - bottom inch of zipper needs to be re-sewn, zipper still fully functional and heavy duty - zipper pull shows a bit of wear - slight pilling in wool This piece has lots of life left and will last a very long time.

erinjames217 @theresacousinea They were part of the Hudson Bay trading company blanket coats line up. HBC has a very interesting past with Inuit, and most former locations are now part of the North West Company. Parkas are sold by Inuit in Canada, and you get the story from the source - these are more of a mass produced thing left over from a time gone by, rather than a truly unique piece of Inuit clothing/artwork. In northern Canada, it’s encouraged to buy from the creator, not the colonizer
