Janet & Janet pink leather metallic-heel studded gladiator sandals, EU41, NWT

Janet & Janet has been around since 1991, although the original family business was making shoes for 3 generations. They recently moved their operations to a small medieval Italian town, and they are currently a woman-run operation (again, making for practical and comfortable shoes!) Their current business focus is all about sustainability and streamlining their supply chain to work with more local suppliers. They've always produced nice, mid-range quality footwear with a range of styles, but there was something about this pair that spoke to me. I think it was those chunky 2.75" platinum heels finished in crinkled platinum leather, which sets off the studded straps ever so nicely. I scored this pair at the end of summer & never wore them, so didn't notice until I took pictures that there are actually two studs missing on the outside of the right shoe - see 3rd last picture. They are fairly small and innocuous studs though, could probably be easily replaced by a decent shoe repair. Or just left as is - the flaw is only noticeable if you know where to look. The colour is a lovely neutral shade of pale pink, they're marked size 41, and they will fit up to size 10 - I'm a size 9.5 and there's a little extra space at the toe, although not enough to look weird if you're also a size 9.5. The ankle straps have adjustable buckles but there's also a back zip for easy on-off.
