Rare Vintage ESD Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Bisque Traditional Costume, Boy Figurines. Marked Japan,
KW 23065 on both figurines. These are rare, making them highly collectible and are perfect for those looking to expand their collection. The features of these figurines are so adorable and are so beautifully crafted that I had to take them home. An original sticker is still attached to the bottom of one figurine and reads Enterprise Exclusives.
Contrary to what many people believe, ESD (Enterprise Sales and Distributors) is not "Canadian Lefton". ESD was a company in Canada whose owner, Harry Pearl, traveled to Japan for buying trips with George Lefton. While in Japan, both men purchased a lot of the same items for their companies (and got a discount for puchasing such a large amount at one time); one exclusively in Canada and the other exclusively in the US. This is why both the Lefton and ESD labels are found on some identical pieces.
Measures: Approx 6 inches tall.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition- No chips cracks or crazing or damage. Please refer to photos as they are part of the description.
NOTE: I HAVE HAD 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE WRAPPING GLASS, CERAMIC, CHINA ITEMS FOR SHIPPING. I USE LARGE BUBBLES TO ENSURE THEY ARE SHIPPED SAFELY.
