Jean Paul Gaultier Junior Gaultier Vintage 1988 Denim Corset Lace-Up Skirt. Marked size IT 44 but fits much, much smaller - more like an XS! Please see measurements below. Archival 1988 Jean Paul Gaultier Junior blue denim corset lace-up back skirt. In great pre-loved condition! 100% cotton. The skirt combines the traditionally male workwear staple of denim with the couture nature of the bodycon female corset. It is deceptively subversive and so very JPG! The skirt also uses the corset motif seen in the mainline collection for that season. This skirt was part of a larger collection of Junior Gaultier denim pieces featured in Gaultier’s main line fashion show for summer 1988 called “La Concierge est dans l’Escalier.” Please see the photo gallery for some examples of the Junior Gaultier pieces featured in the show. Lacing in the back can fully be adjusted/opens up. Front gold branded buttons open all the way down. Condition: in good vintage condition with some fading throughout, consistent with the skirt’s age. Measurements: Marked size 44, made in Italy. ***Please note, this fits more like an XS in my opinion.
