Jonathan Martin was a hugely popular mass market brand during the 80s & 90s & 2000s. They started in 1975, producing a line of feminine women's dresses and blouses. There's not much information online about this brand, but there are many vintage examples of dresses over the last 4 1/2 decades. My understanding is that the label also re-launched with new business partners in 2017 or so.
Based on the style of the label and content label, I'd put this dress no later than the mid-80s, possibly as early as the late 70s. I acquired it at a vintage shop in the late 90s, and there were some minor signs of wear when I bought it, and those are noted in the last 3 pictures (tiny holes/abrasion marks). They're not at all noticeable while wearing, but you could also hem this dress to a midi length, and that would eliminate all but one tiny spot.
This is a really graceful and pretty dress, in a slightly muted red with a sparse cream floral print, featuring an empire waistline with a tie at the back to adjust fit and short flutter sleeves. The fabric is 100% rayon, a smooth, almost silky weave with no stretch, although the cut of the dress allows for slight give. Marked size 13, I'd strongly recommend checking the measurements below to confirm fit. My guess is that it should fit size 12, maybe 14.
