I have taken pictures with and without the book jacket, most noticeable shelf wear is a dent at the bottom spine, does not affect use of book and is hardly noticeable without the book jacket on. Disclaimer: I did not look over each and every one of the 1132 pages but, from looking over it pretty carefully I do not see any inscriptions, notes or bent pages. This book is a classic for a reason and no chef or home cook should be without a copy in my opinion. Just a wealth of information! Will be packaged with care using a mix of new and clean recycled materials 🌎❤️♻️
