Québec was a hotbed of modernist enamel jewelry design in the 1970s. Like his contemporaries de Passillé-Sylvestre, Jules Perrier was an enamelist who created colourful bold abstract designs. O Canada! Vintage 1970s enamel over copper brooch / pin by Québec artist Jules Perrier. This handmade modernist pin features a brightly coloured maple leaf. The reverse is signed “Jules Perrier Canada”. Excellent condition: the brooch does not appear to have been worn.
