KOTOBUKI - Japanese Handcrafted Checkered Dipping Dim-sum Bowls (set of 5)

Beautiful set of five Japanese studio pottery bowls, each decorated with a unique geometric pattern in earthy brown and black glazes. The exteriors are covered in a stippled/textured finish, while the interiors feature bold motifs: checkerboard, zigzag, diamonds, and overlapping circles. Each bowl is artist-signed on the base in Japanese characters. Likely dating from the mid-to-late 20th century, these bowls represent the refined balance of utility and artistry found in Japanese mingei (folk craft) traditions.
