Kenzo | Wool and Cotton Tiger Sweater

Marking their second season as creative directors at Kenzo, designers Humberto Leon and Carol Lim offered up their refined take of urban street style.  The pair discovered the tiger motif while mining the Kenzo archives and decided to embroider it onto a knitted jumper for the autumn/winter '12/'13 show. This sweater became a cult item that sold like hotcakes. The tiger logo has become the brand's trademark. The fact that the tiger sweater's life from forgotten archived insignia to fashion phenomenon was accidental adds to its cult status.
