Lancaster Sandland handpainted in England 'Highwayman' character small pottery toby jug. This is a small early mid-century Toby jug titled 'Highwayman'. The mark on the bottom is Lancaster Sandland Hand Painted in England. This mark was first issued in 1949. The word "Highwayman" is embossed on the back side. Please note that this is not a full size jug, this is a smaller collector size. The jug measures approximately 2 1/2" high x 2 3/8" diameter. Great vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks, but there is some crazing to the bottom base.
