The lucite is a overall an amber tone with swirls of auburn and dark brown tones, which compliments the gold-tone hues of the brass perfect. The top of the case has a stripe of bronze, attaching the latch. There is a cut-away monogram of the cursive letter 'E'. While the brass sides keep the box sturdy, the translucent plastic allows for light to pass through allowing one to see the amount of cigarettes remaining, and to cast a warm glow.Overall, in good condition. There are surface scratches present, on the whole. On the left side, there is a burn in the lucite, like someone had dropped ash on the top. There is a smaller burn on the right side edge. On the bottom of the box, there are scratches, and someone lightly carved "80". The hinge and the latch are still in good working order.
