...English dressing table display perfume bottle
A gorgeous large and heavy cut glass and silver topped perfume bottle, made by the Army & Navy Cooperative Society Ltd (Frederick Bradford Macrea) in London, 1890. The screw top lid a bit squeaky, but opening and closing easily. The top with several dents (as pictured) and the inside cork with chipping. Because of the presence of the cork with pressing lines from the edges, I do not believe there would originally have been a dauber / glass stopper. The base heavy with some little nibbles missing off a few edges but nothing too obvious. The bottle still smells faintly of perfume, but looks clean without residue, water standing lines or white fogging of the glass.
It has been cut beautifully round with a starburst base.
Size: ca 5-3/4 inches tall (14.5 cm) and 3-3/4 inches diameter (9.5 cm)
