Large Midcentury Pitcher Water Jug 11", Fat Lava Laurentian Pottery Art Pottery

This large Mid Century Fat Lava ceramic water pitcher has a light brown speckled rough underglaze layered over with a glossy red drippy "fat lava" glaze that, starting from the rim of the piece, runs down forming this wonderful textured surface where shiny glaze becomes pitted drips. The top of the rim and the inside of the jug is glazed with brown drip glaze It was made by a pottery in Canada, Laurentian Pottery, for Roy Craft. It has a nicely proportioned handle for ease of use. It is approximately 11 1/4 inches tall and about 7 1/2 inches across the belly. The top opening is about 4 3/4 inches across. It is in very good condition with no cracks or chips or crazing. Please see all the photos.
