Large & luscious vintage green apple brooch signed de Pasillé-Sylvestre

Quebec artisans Micheline de Passillé and Yves Sylvestre produced some of the most bold and distinctive modernist enamel jewelry and accessories of the 1960's and 1970's. DPS pieces were given by the Canadian and Quebec governments to such visitors as Madame Charles de Gaulle and Princess Grace of Monaco! This brooch, measuring about 2 X 2-1/4 inches, incorporates imagery of a tree, roots - and a hand, as I see it, within the shining green apple. It bears the de Passillé-Sylvestre signature, with the bilingual tag Fait au Québec Made in Canada. In very good vintage condition, withlight scratches.
