🎁Leather marigold handmade & hand-painted by a Canadian artisan vintage 1980

Hand made and hand painted leather by Canadian artisan. Met him at a craft show. Went to his studio in Montreal to discover a secret garden of his creations: flowers, leaves, butterflies, birds. The only things missing were the scents and the movements! Found the details on the colours and the shapes amazing ! So purchased one of his creations almost every week for several months. Downsizing so selling them slowly but surely. It was part of a collection of native and common garden flowers present in Canada This is the marigold (not sure if it is the French or the African species) Vintage: Purchased the emblem of each province as a set in the early 1980 as well as my favourite garden flowers. I have seen newer editions of leather flowers: the newest mass produced ones do not have the quality of workmanship and the details of this one. Every piece is unique. Hue vary with light. Was planning to do a collage inside a frame, but never did so this brooch was never used. See picture for the closure. The 25 cents is to give you an idea of the size. Mint. Could be given as a gift. NB also available is the listing of the PEI flower emblem. This one is initialed at the back but the marigold is not because it of much smaller compared to the lady slipper flower.
