This is a miniature Limoges decorative plate in the “courting” scene by Fragonard for madam du Barry. The plate has the courting couple in the centre with a burgundy edge with gilded design on top. Comes with a display holder. Fragonard painted four scenes for madam Du Barry- serenading, courting, proposal and acceptance. The bottom says Goudeville Limoges and Made in France in gilded lettering.
