Description 🌺 The third of eight Mother Goose collectible plates by artist John McClelland. This plate, released in 1981, is an illustration for the nursery rhyme "Little Miss Muffet". Starched skirts billowing about her, blonde curls charmingly tousled, a little girl sits sedately in a garden that is drowsy with the hum of bees. The morning light is warm and hazy, and a fragrant thicket of wildflowers - columbine and brown-eyed susans, bluebells and sweet violets - tangle in a profusion of trailing vines, completing the picture of a placid world lying safe in the sun
