This classic film tells the story of a gangster who takes up a job as a cabbie after serving jail time. Unbeknownst to the district attorney, his new job is only a cover up to what he's actually doing. Along the way, he falls for a debutante sociology student. Its a film about betrayal, blackmail, sacrifice, love and determination. The story of behind the scenes chemistry between the main stars was one of the reasons for the film's success.
