In the mid 80s and early 90s my main staple work shoes were sensible plain 1-1/2" heeled business style Amalfi pumps in several colours (similar to what flight attendants wear). Adding shoe clips was one way of adding flare to an ensemble. Shoe clips can also be used as dress clips, can be clipped on purses, hats, and more.
