This is "Love of Seven Dolls" by acclaimed American novelist, Paul Gallico, author of the Poseidon Adventure and the Mrs. Harris books. It was published by Micheal Joseph Ltd. in 1954. This copy is a sixth impression of the first edition, printed in 1957. It has a colorful pictorial hardbound cover with blue lettering on the spine. It also has its equally colorful pictorial dustjacket that is worn, foxed and somewhat tattered around the edges.
The book is in very good condition. The cover and spine have a little wear and bumps to the corners. There is a slight slant to the spine. The endpapers are begining to yellow and the is some foxing to the edges of the text block. Inside, the pages are very clean. The binding is good and tight. Please see all the photos.
"A young girl called Mouche is about to throw herself into the Seine, when her attention is attracted by a voice. It turns out to be the voice of a glove puppet, called Carrot Top. She then meets Reynard the fox, Gigi, Alifanfaron, Dr. Duclos, Madame Muscat and Monsieur Nicholas.
