Luxury 1930s Birk's .925 Sterling Silver Bell-shaped Ring Box

Luxury 1930s .925 Sterling Silver Bell-shaped Ring Box from the Canadian jeweler Maison Birks, in a beautiful and traditional antique bell shape, with an elegant fluted design on the hinged lid. Beautiful to display your special ring, this ring box is an heirloom in itself. The interior holds a single ring slot lined in luxurious black velvet, and the interior dome is gold gilding over sterling silver. At the center of the interior domed lid is the name BIRKS accompanied by the Lion Rampant (the house's signature). The design of this precious box is meant to evoke the joy and anticipation of wedding bells, and these ring boxes are highly coveted and collectible. The outside and interior are in excellent condition with one very small "ding" near the top right - it is not noticeable and hard to see in the photos - please see last photo with yellow circle. This item is vintage and has surface scratches (visible through magnification) that one would expect to see on a piece of this age. There is very minimal wear to the ring pad. The hinge is in excellent working order and the box opens and closes well. Note there are a couple of scratches on bottom of box - see photo. The ring box is clearly Hallmarked "BIRKS STERLING" at bottom, and box measures approx 4 cm height and approx 4.75 cm across base.
