I also love traveling and spending what free time I get at the beach! thewildgypsy @asmith1018 It really is! Around Christmas time I always take what extra money I have and find people on community pages that can’t afford to pay for spay/neuters and will pay it for them through our clinic. A lot of people don’t understand how important it is either 😕

serelain Thank you so much for caring enough about animals to do something. Fostering and rescue work is sooo important. It's overwhelming at times and it takes a special person to do it. I'm also an animal advocate. I work with my local shelter. Animals love us unconditionally and on our worst day. They deserve our best efforts to keep them safe and happy. closetofpearls_ Hi! Glad to see another rescuer here! Both of my pups are rescues- Pearl is deaf & has lymphoma - she’s my 1st pup! Got her at 7mo- no one wanted her bc she’s deaf. Moo is my 2nd & 1st foster fail! He was going to be put in a high kill shelter in Raleigh before Fostering. He has anxiety & is a big baby . I would like to rescue more but chemo bills kind of kicking butt atm. 🤷🏼‍♀️🐶🐶🙏🏼

I recently lost one of my dogs in November and he had ehlers danlos, a rare skin disease so I understand the expenses. I still have his brother though and he has the disease as well just not as severe! Rescuing is really an amazing thing ❤️

thewildgypsy @mhallman26 Yes! They sure can! It actually took us years to finally get a diagnosis on him too and we were told not too many vets have studied it. We have basically baby proofed our house because they get cut so easily. An end corner of the table can literally gash their skin wide open. My dog dog mula that passed had it really bad though to the point that if he scratched himself he would cut himself so it was extremely important to avoid fleas in the warm months!

thewildgypsy @mhallman26 Well I first got him when I lived in South Carolina and we took him to several vets and they had no idea what was wrong with him, just got a bunch of dirty looks like I was the cause of it honestly. When I moved back to North Carolina I reached out on group sites online for a everyday vet for him and was recommended to one and when I went there he instantly knew what it was.

hippiecrow_vtg my mom rescued and homed abandoned cats and kittens...people would know to drop them off in our place in the woods...I remembered long nights of mama cats in labor and then helping raise the kittens. She had a kind vet who would spay and neuter at a discount because mom would occasionally take in cats that needed extra attention. You are doing HARD work but it is so rewarding! love your closet.
