christinastudio Hello Elizabeth, it is difficult to give exact measurements because this piece is unstructured, there is no shoulder seam and there is a lot of fabric at the collar and back, despite this, the small size indicated is because of the seam at the armpits: 22.5" is the measurement flat but I would rather say 17" (because there is room at the back), and it correspond more to the other Marie St-Pierre pieces listed. The widest part measures 31". I added photos showing more of the design. Hope it help
