Blue Mountain Pottery (BMP) in Collingwood, ON, Canada was founded in the 1950s. This design goes back to the 70s, late mid-century modern design era. BMP is known for its distinctive glaze and colours, which makes it most recognizable to collectors. This glaze technique is called ' reflowing decorating' where two liquid glazes are applied and mix in the firing process to produce the unique finish.
