cierralaplante I was thinking about that as kind of a back up plan if my major doesn't go well. I took few business classes in high school and one of my teachers suggested it to me! lol

tmh1991 @cierralaplante It's honestly such a great profession to get in to, especially for women. A lot of companies are looking to hire female accountants, so finding a job out of college shouldn't be difficult at all. Also, depending on what sub field of accounting you go into there is room for flexibility when you want to start your own family and what not. What are you looking to major in currently?

cierralaplante I've always been fascinated with the medical field, except I'm one of those people with a fear of blood. right now I'm in school to become an ultrasound technician, but I'm far away from home & I don't really like the city I live in. so I was thinking about heading back to my home state and trying something new (my state doesn't have my ultrasound schools- couldn't get accepted!) I didn't know where or what I wanted to do so I feel kind of stuck.

tmh1991 @cierralaplante I totally hear where your coming from. I have a fear of needles! Is it jut your own blood or blood all together that you can't deal with? A great option if it's just your own blood would be becoming an EMT and then a Paramedic. There is schooling involved but it's less demanding compared to a regular college where you're focusing on classes that aren't relevant to what you want to do. Is there any specific thing you are passionate about other than medicine?

cierralaplante that's why I think going into the medical field would be really cool! there are just so many options 😊 & really honestly, I can't think of anything. accounting was always my 2nd choice

tmh1991 @cierralaplante honestly you could always do both! ☺️ some places you only need an associates degree which you could do 2 years at a community college and work at HR block or some similar place during tax season! There are even certificate options which are only a few course and could possibly be done online! You have options, just have to stay positive and focus on one thing at a time , as long as you're happy that's all that matters💕
