aridanielle @kallismommy hey girl! So I love the makeup and skin aspect yes, but I hate working in spas. Hours are long and here’s not much money in it in NY unless uve been doing it 10 yrs and already have a following- or unless u freelance. Which is what i do. It’s great to have the license to do Esthetics as side work or freelance on the side until u build a following. Wound up going back to grad School but I love having it as a side freelance gig for fun and extra cash!! Hope this helps!

aridanielle @kallismommy pay depends usually minimum wage or lower bc spas expect you’ll be tipped and maybe get commission. Otherwise hourly. Days were 4-6 days a week and anywhere from 8-11 hour days not including transportation time with no schedule break other than grabbing food when u can.

aridanielle @kallismommy 5 lol some ppl have better luck than others! Don’t let my experience freak you out 100%. Ask around. Other ppl I know who I went to school w are doing well in small clinics or spas or are starting their own businesses even tho that takes a while To build up!

kallismommy @aridanielle yes my goal is to get certified then get certified witg lasers and peels and micro then go to med spa or plastic surgeon or dermatologist!

aridanielle @kallismommy that’s def the way to go! I was going to go become a Dermo PHysician assistant but it would have taken me just as long to do that as it would to just go to medical school and I simply don’t have that time or time to do science pre Requisites, etc. But if you have science already down for ur undergrad you should be done in no time! Good luck girl!!!
