Stunning and beautiful large authentic handcrafted Murano pink and clear glass White Cristal "Splash Bowl". The bowl measures approximately 7.75" high x 9" across. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. There are slight imperfections that occurred when the piece was created. Please see the photos. First of all, the process of making Murano glass is different from any others. It requires a special glassblowing process that is over 1000 years old. Real Murano glass is handmade, which inherently results in small imperfections. Such imperfections could be, for example, air bubbles or the Pontil mark. When the multi-color layering technique is used, the glass master blows the different colored glass separately and then layers them on top of each other. During this process, it is inevitable that small air bubbles are created. See photos. Genuine Murano glassworks are only produced on the island of Murano, Italy.
