@jdnlemrn the winter coat is two years old. There are minor threads coming out on the arm section or honestly I would categorized it as “signs of wear” (that’s expected because it’s not brand new) , but it’s not noticeable at all. I haven’t seen any fur sheds in the past two years I have owned it nor any scratches to the coat itself :)
