superwasp Hello! Thank you for this measurement. I'm a slow decider 😬 I'm wondering - does this skirt hit about mid-waist? And the zipper on the side - it looks like it might be bending inward when on the hanger - I'm thinking surely the zipper lies flat when its being worn?? No major wear issues (like at the base of the zipper, pulls, spots, etc.)?

superwasp Thank you! This is very helpful. I *think* this size will fit, but I've heard Maje fits small. I've looked at their size chart and it seems as though I fall within the parameters for a size 36, but I was looking at some Maje skirts on Eb@y and noticed that the measurements for a 36 vary quite a bit...like some would definitely be too large for me and others too small. Just wondering what your impressions of the sizing on this skirt are - is it about a size 4?

amayzing16 @superwasp hi there. You’re most welcome! Unfortunately I don’t really know how this compares with other sizes. I will try to see if I can get someone to model this. I had bought this for my daughter but she’s away at the moment. It is certainly better to be sure before your decision. 🤗

superwasp That is so kind - it seems like so much trouble for you, though, to have to do that!! I was thinking, maybe if I could get the width of the hip, it might be enough information for me to decide either way?? Would it be possible to get the hip measurement of the skirt underneath the ruffle? I don't know why I didn't think to ask for that before, it would have been so much simpler! 🤦‍♀️

superwasp Hmmm - okay, this is interesting! I was expecting a hip measurement that is a bit wider. I checked the Maje size chart and apparently, their smallest size (34) is designed for someone with a hip measurement of 35.4 inches, and a size 36 is designed for someone with a hip measurement of 37 inches. I'm wondering if the puffiness of the ruffle inside the skirt (when its turned inside out) is maybe making the measurement seem a bit smaller.

superwasp Because if the hip measurement is about 17 inches across, that would mean it could only fit someone with a 34 inch hip.

superwasp I deeply appreciate you going to all this trouble and posting these - I realize now that the lower part of the skirt is black, not grey! 🙀. I think I assumed that there was a shadow being cast on the lower part of the skirt and that it was all actually grey. I'm not sure if a two-tone skirt is what I'm looking for...I have to think about it 😬
